Understanding how cancellations work with our comparison service
Overview
Although CompareBucket is not a provider of travel services, it does provide a way for users to compare providers of travel-related services. To cancel your reservation that you have made to book you must contact that provider for the travel service.
Each provider has its own cancellation policies and these can depend on several factors such as type of service, price and booking date.
How to Cancel a Reservation
If you want to cancel your reservation, you will need to do the following:
- Visit the provider's web page with which you made a reservation.
- Login to your account or view your reservation.
- Follow the providers specific rules to cancel reservations.
If you are not able to cancel your reservation using these steps, please contact customer service.
Cancellation Fees
Your cancellation could incur a fee by the service provider depending on the following:
- Time remaining until you are to depart or check-in.
- The type of reservation and/or type of airline ticket you purchased.
- Whether or not your reservation included any special promotions or discounts.
Some bookings might have a no-cancellation policy and other bookings could include a period of free cancellation as part of the booking.
No Control Over Cancellations
CompareBucket has no authority to cancel your booking or change your reservation and we do not charge cancellation fees directly to customers.
The only airline, hotel or travel company that is authorised to decide on cancelling a reservation is the airline, hotel or travel company that made the reservation.
Change/Modification to Booking
If you want to modify or change an existing booking, you must contact the travel supplier.
There may be fees to modify your reservation and any changes will depend on the policies of the service provider you booked through.

- Cancellation timeline
- Eligibility for a refund
- Options to modify or change your travel plans
You will reduce the chance of incurring an unexpected charge.
